That is difficult to answer because you don't specify your age, and style changes as you get older. Having said that, blow-drying your hair, or using a flat-iron will always look good wherever you go. Why don't you buy an eyeshadow palette and experiment with different colours, and see what you like.Make-up/ Hair tips for dates ??
School:

-Hair- For school just blow dry your hair and style it after your shower. If you have time in the mornings, you could try curling or straightening it.

-Make-up- Something plain like a bit of foundation and blusher, light eyeshadow and a light pink lipstick.

Church:

-Hair- I don't go to church because I am not religious and I don't care about religion at all (no offence). But I would go with maybe curling it lightly - not too much like a poodle, sort of wavy.

-Make-up- Don't go too mad with it. Just a bit of blusher, eyeshadow, lipstick, etc. Maybe paint your nails.

Dates:

-Hair- For going on a date, straightening your hair looks great. Especially if you have hair like mine (long, sometimes straight depending on when I get up, layered and feathered).

-Make-up- Whenever I go on a date, I wear what I usually wear at home: dark eyeshadow (shades of light pink up to the eyebrows, slightly darker on the eyelids, dark purple along the edge by the eyelashes and a black flick to the outer side), black eyeliner on the inside of the bottom eyelid, light pink blusher, tanned foundation, black mascara, red/pink lipstick. By the way, that style may not suit everyone as I am a bit of a goth/emo.
I think you can try curling your hair like this
