how can i avoid awkward silences? any conversation starters?

Be comfortable, it's only awkward if you make it awkward. If it feels good, put your arm around her or hold her hand (girls like that). She obviously likes you (at least a little bit since she said yes to the date) so it should go fine. Talk about movies that you guys have seen lately and so on and so forth. you dont really need to talk to her or have a huge conversation at the movies. ask her if she wants something to drink or eat. be yourself. dont try too hard. be outgoing. dont kiss on the first date, and at the end tell her you had a great time and if you two can do it again!

just be as confident as possible!!
talk about things that she is interested in. Dont act bored about wat she says and dont try to show off.
