don't go tell your friend that you can find your own date...blind dates can be hell...they turn into stalkers..I'm talking from experience

Be yourself - single may not seem great, but having a bf isn't necessarily better - get to know him (mentally, emotionally), peck on the cheek goodnight if you think it's right, figure out what you think of him, decide if you want to do it again.
Give the guy a shot. Who knows this may be your Mr. Right. Your friends know you and they wouldn't set you up with someone they think you'd have a bad time with. Just have a good time and relax.
Run like h%26amp;ll, get sick, cry......

Dont do it they will pick out the rong man for you totally...
Just go, no harm, no foul. Drive yourself, so you're not stuck there if it goes bad, but you never know. As they say, don't knock it until you've tried it. Plus, you get a free dinner out of it or a free movie.
just relax dress nice, and take things slow, i went on one blind date but it was a double blind date so it was fun and comforting to go through with a friend by your side. best of luck
