Laughter is the key to any good date. Share something funny that happend to you. Your date will laugh and in the process get an insight to what kind of person you are. Maybe they will even share a similar expirience that happend to them and you can giggle and make fun of one another. Just try not to choke on your soda in your hysterics. I still get nerved when I date it's because most people are on their best behavioral that makes things worse.
